Welcome Paulina and Luisa!

Casa de Paz welcomes Paulina Cruz as our new Family Support Coordinator. Paulina supports residents by partnering with each woman to create an individualized plan with goals for her future free of violence. Residents turn to Pauline for the support of Casa de Paz’ culturally informed and trauma informed mission. Paulina is a Latina immigrant herself, with a background in healthcare and social services. Prior to her position as Family Support Coordinator at Casa de Paz she worked at the Northern Kentucky Health Department. In that role, she helped the community get connected to essential resources, programs, and women’s health services while breaking language and cultural barriers. Previously she was at Versiti Blood Center of Ohio, where she was involved in collecting life-saving blood donations, training new hires, and educating the Hispanic community about the importance of blood donation. She has also worked as an EMT specializing in patients going through mental health crises.

Luisa Lopez is a senior at Xavier University studying political philosophy with a concentration in political science. She considers herself an advocate of human rights, social justice, and political consciousness. Her part-time position at Casa de Paz is a Family Support Worker. Before joining Casa de Paz, Luisa completed an internship as a legal assistant for an immigration law firm in the Cincinnati area. In this role, she facilitated different USCIS cases, specifically asylum cases. She has also completed various volunteer positions and has volunteered for NewPath Child & Family Solutions.
