Hannah Lembright

Executive Director

Prior to her position as Director at Casa de Paz, Hannah most recently worked as the Program Coordinator for the Early Head Start Program at Child Focus in Clermont County. In this role, Hannah supervised, coached, and trained Home Visitors, as well as ensured quality programming was provided. She also participated in the Equity & Inclusion Team, creating and facilitating training for the agency. Before working as the Program Coordinator, Hannah started her tenure at Child Focus as the Bilingual Home Visitor of the same program. She provided in-home early childhood education, and parenting education, and supported families’ acculturation into the US by connecting them to resources.

Long before working in the non-profit realm, Hannah took a gap year before college and spent time in Mexico doing humanitarian work. During this time, she fell in love with Spanish and Latinx culture. Upon returning from Mexico, Hannah began pursuing undergraduate degrees in Social Justice and Spanish Language & Literature. Through these studies, she learned of the systemic injustices that disproportionately affect the immigrant community in the United States, which ultimately led to her career in this field.
While at university, Hannah continued seeking opportunities to immerse herself within Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities. Hannah spent one month studying Spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and, following her graduation, spent one year living and working in Andalucía, Spain.
Hannah’s hope for the future of Casa de Paz is to continue providing exceptional services to women & children in need, strengthening partnerships with other organizations, and to grow the volunteer base.

Paulina Cruz

Family Support Coordinator

Paulina Cruz is a Latina immigrant, with a background in healthcare and social services. Prior to her position as Family Support Coordinator at Casa de Paz she worked at the Northern Kentucky Health Department. In that role, she helped the community get connected to essential resources, programs, and women’s health services while breaking language and cultural barriers. Previously she was at Versiti Blood Center of Ohio, where she was involved in collecting life-saving blood donations, training new hires, and educating the Hispanic community about the importance of blood donation. She has also worked as an EMT specializing in patients going through mental health crises.

Luisa Lopez

Family Support Worker

Currently a senior at Xavier University studying political philosophy with a concentration in political science. Advocate of human rights, social justice, and political consciousness. Prior to my position as a Family Support Worker at Casa de Paz, I worked and interned as a Legal assistant for a few immigration law firms in the Cincinnati area. In this role, I facilitated different USCIS cases, but specialized in asylum cases. In addition to those roles and volunteer work with Xavier University, I have volunteered for NewPath Child & Family Solutions.

This is a behavioral health and education agency that supports children and their families. Here I helped the Senior Director of Philanthropic Giving by running their resource center and helping with fundraising and planning. I am also working on several projects that are being shaped for publication, one of which examines the political climate of America and different ways to overcome social factors.
Before my time as an undergraduate at Xavier university, I lived in Guatemala for the first twelve years of my life. This life experience made me realize about poverty, social injustice, the importance of privilege and other factors that are relevant in today’s society. As part of upbringing, I began to participate in community service and volunteering from a young age. Helping out in senior homes, educational facilities, and working with low-income families, shaped my commitment to others. In addition to my time in Guatemala, I lived in Northern Virginia. Here, I also participated in some community service as part of my high school experience. With its proximity to Washington DC, my academic journey and personal interests, my passion for politics and social justice increased.
My hope for the future is that with my work, I can create a more inclusive and welcoming environment. One that supports minorities and other groups that do not have the same opportunities and privilege as others.
